Pleasantly surprised, it took me a few moments to respond. Based on human nature, we all tend to be more interested in “what’s it in it for me?” Consciously or not, we habitually wonder how we can benefit from this person or that situation. Human nature, in this area, can certainly improve.
Leading into an introduction, a conversation or a formal meeting with an attitude of providing value and opportunities for others, unconditionally, will always strengthen the quality of the relationship.
Moreover, when we adopt such a mindset, not because we expect something in return, but rather because we are evolving into being genuine people of service, others too, will be more likely to want to reciprocate. I surely did.
